1979 help on selling...???

Hi. My dad parked his 79 Ranchero in grammas garage 20+ years ago. We would like to get it out out of the garage and gone. We have ran the VIN and plates (was registered in CA in 94) and came up with nothing. No paperwork exists on this car. Guess the rims on it are pretty nice, the engine is not good but theres a new one gramma had rebuilt sitting next to it, never used. Called a "we buy junk cars" today and they said $100. I think its worth more than that. Any suggestions on what it might be worth? Any suggestions on who to contact to get it out of the darn garage? Im not trying to get rich, but i dont want to give it away either. I am in Downey, CA.

 

The buyer will be responsible for getting it out, don't worry about that. And hey, it's probably worth at least double your first offer!!

Those pics don't show anything that would indicate it's value. They actually probably make it look worse than it is.

 

The topper might fetch $100 by itself.

It's back on the market, dad decided to pass on it. For $500. If I was closer I would have grabbed it. Not worth a 3000 mi turnaround.

Thanks Skip for all the help!! Still in the barn Dont really wanna use Craigslist or anything like that, being its AT my grammas house and all, hoping to get it sold thru a reputal group ya know. And yes, the pics are awful. But its smack up against one wall in the garage and tight on the sides. Its been warm here this month so getting the garage cleaned out a little at a time, eventually we will have it cleared. Want to move it to the driveway, thats the next goal.
