That's the later version, based on the Futura I think. Not a factory thing but a customizer made some for Ford, correct me if I'm wrong.
That was a Ford "Durango", based on the Fairmont Futura body with the two door body style. The Futura version of those had to the sloped B and C pillar. Those really weren't too bad of a little car then, given the times and the "re-sizing" of the models that started in '79 and continued on through the '80s and '90s. Sean: Wrong. Sorry.

Thanks! Appreciate the comment. I looked at buying one of those offered at a Ford Dealer, and did buy a Fairmont Futura in 1979. Last new car I ever bought. But you're right, I don't know anything, in truth, so from now on I'll just shut up and Moderate. I know it's annoying to those of you that do know everything and I should really be more considerate of you.
