once again.....had a crap day at work....another 12 hours....so I hit the bar.... Discuss.... I would've posted elsewhere here but nothing seems to be happening in Ranchero-world that is interesting....is everyone on here really restoring these to original? really? No mods? Ugh....
Wish I went to the bar last night. A drink or twelve, would have been nice. 4 days/week class and 7 days/week work, I don't have time to do anything fun anymore. I wouldn't classify my '72 project as a full out restomod but, it definitely won't be reverted back to stock/original specs.
62 will be a resto mod, no fun in keeping it original, now I have to think how to make everything work with my new more modern drive train.
This one has a diesel http://www.ridelust.com/ebay-find-of-the-day-ecolust-edition-1964-ford-ranchero-diesel/
It matters to many, just not you. And I'll tell you when to start worrying, big boy! Not yet,...but it's coming,...maybe.
I've done a few mods to my 71. Latest being 18" shoes ( used ) rebuilt front end lowered ( cut spring One ring ) I need bigger SUV tires to fill the rear wheel wells but need to change the gearing again. Cant shift to overdrive until 70 MPH. Time to get back to body work and interior. while i save some cash for gears and trany pump ( squeals ) and torque converter. A lot of motor mods at this site. and a few interesting body mods ( Montego ranchero, and lambo door extended cab. Then theres the Pyle. )
