I would like to add an additional circuit to my 1965 ranchero. I want to power my tach, power seats and a future stereo system. Any tips, suggestions? Right now I'm drawing power from my under hood solenoid.
Start with a Type 1 (automatic reset) circuit breaker. 20A should be enough for power seats, upgrade to 30A if you add audio system. Running from the starter solenoid is fine, just be aware that is constant power directly from the battery. Use 12 AWG copper.
