Latest update I cleaned the engine all day, did some engine bay painting. Using POR 15 semi gloss, a little to shine for me, too bad they didn't have any flat... The 4300D is being shipped out tomorrow from Pony Carbs. I had to take the hood off to get into the engine, those 72 hoods dont raise up very high...
before and after Almost done with the engine bay/undercoating: Went a little crazy with the undercoat and paint...
Hey John 777, you're a good man doing good work on that Ranchero. You'll enjoy that ride. What's the story on the "Hawaii 5-0" Mercury in the background ?

I guess we can call this a numbers matching car... Thanks for you help, I am still waiting on the carb to arrive.
car is running! The 4300D carb was installed and the new mufflers were installed. Magnaflow 14325's. Not impressed with the sound at all. I have flowmaster 50's on my other car and dynomaxes on the other, both sound way better... I'm probably going to get them replaced, any ideas? I need a little more sound but not glass packs! 2 1/4 inch H pipes. The car runs great, a bit more power, but having difficulties on the launch, not a whole lot of rubber being laid down. I am still happy with the overall results. I will have some fine tuning done tomorrow and will bring the beast home on wednesday!
I noticed that in the previous post, and I edited it earlier. None the less that is going to be a sick car when you are done.
